Journey was founded by a team of educators and professionals to aid our clients in the complete educational and self-discovery experience. Our goals are to support and to impact our clients along their personal journeys by expanding their learning and growth opportunities. We empower our clients to command their positive possibilities; we coach their learning, we mentor their personal development, and we guide their explorations at intersections and transitions.

Meet Your Guides

Patricia “Patty” Peterleitner

The Founder and CEO of Journey, Patty is a passionate professional and credentialed career educator with more than 30 years of experience. Over her academic career, she served as the head of an upper school and as the Director of Academic Support for a strategy-based learning center. Her authentic spirit, courage, and exceptional interpersonal skills are her brand. Patty has a natural capacity to influence, to connect, to empower, and to impact—revealed in her notable achievements as math and science instructor, administrator, advisor, consultant, mentor, presenter, and coach.

In addition to her background as a leader in education, Patty parlays her experience as an innovator in business, non-profit boards, and civic volunteerism to her coaching methodology. She recognizes that individual and academic success is cultivated through extracurricular experiences, encouraging leadership competencies, and vision. Patty differentiates her methodology by reinforcing that what is learned in the classroom should also be experienced in real-world pursuits—internships, externships and creative experiential learning opportunities.

Patty’s experience in education and in business harnesses a modern and innovative approach to learning. Patty prides herself in forming lasting connections with her clients—of all ages—and encouraging appropriate development to navigate a pathway towards positive growth in the classroom and for the future.

Patty believes that only through the growth of others, can she continue to grow herself. Journey is about moving forward—together, we can take that first step.

Elisabeth Peterleitner

Elisabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here at Journey, and has been working with us since our inception. While obtaining her MSW at Boston University, she had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including outpatient, residential, and community based environments.

After graduation, she made the transition to providing mental health services to the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) community where she discovered her lifelong passion. While working with the ASD population, she obtained her Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist certificate, allowing her to become an ASD expert while familiarizing herself with other common comorbid disorders including: ADHD, anxiety and depression. Elisabeth is both humbled and overjoyed to be making a meaningful difference in their lives of her clients and their families. 

When she is not working, Elisabeth enjoys spending time with her family, almost 3 year old son, and friends. She an animal lover of all sorts and currently has two dogs, two cats and several fish at home. In the nicer New England months, you can find her outside on a hike, at the beach or playing a round of golf.
